Club News

Welcome to my site with the squads on for Longfield Athletic, Longfield KLF, AFC Newport and recent additions Red Army United & Burghmuir.

AFC Newport were original founders members of the the Robin Hood league that was formed back in October 1989 and Longfield Athletic were originally formed in 1991.

Both went into administration in 92/93 seasons but Athletic made a return to the RH Premiership in early 2004 winning a league title and a cup within the 4 years they have been back and are usually in or about the Top 5 every season in the RH Premiership.

AFC Newport started up in Division 3 from the remains of 'The Stone Roses' and have quickly developed a youth policy that is the envy of others having won the Youth league on a number of occasions over the past few seasons and even winning the RH Super Cup in 2007 and have made the semi finals of the current RH Super Cup.

Longfield KLF were formed from the remnants of Madchester United in the WPL in 2004. They have enjoyed recent success by winning the 3rd Division title and gaining promotion recently to the First Division. They also won the WPL Super Cup last year.

Red Army were taken on as they were struggling at the foot of the MOA with only one win all season and a poor squad and youth set up. Radical changes were needed and 3 months later. the squad has seen many comings and goings that have already seen immediate results with their initial points total being more than quadrupled.

Burghmuir are also another rescue case, struggling round the bottom of Division One in the NSA. Immediate new signings were made with just any many being shown the door. This has seen them climb out of the bottom 3 and accumalate a 20m+ transfer kitty in order to bring about success next season. A new name is to be assigned to Buirghmuir as part of their move into the Longfield Group of teams but this has not been officially released.

Any further news of substance involving any of the my teams will be posted here.
